WOVEN SHADES
Bring the outside in.
Every window, every room.
Your clients want texture. They want warmth. They want something that feels intentional, not just dressed. The Fabritec Woven Shades Collection is hand-crafted from reed, jute, bamboo, and fiber blends—organic materials, refined fabrication, and the kind of finish that makes a room feel like it was always supposed to look this way.
Why Choose Fabritec Woven Shades
A workroom that knows this collection inside and out.
Working with this collection is not the same as working with standard fabric. Every roll has its own personality. We've spent decades learning how to honor that—how to size, cut, finish, and hang each shade so the material does what it's meant to do: bring warmth, texture, and the feeling of the outside world into the room.
Refined over four decades
The methods we use today didn't come from a manual. They came from working with this collection long enough to know what it needs—and what it won't tolerate. Every detail of our process reflects that.
A specialized department
Within our large workroom facility, woven shades have their own specialized department. The expertise, the process, and the equipment are dedicated entirely to this collection, because the material demands it.
Two material paths, one aesthetic
Whether your client wants the authentic character of organic fiber or the greater color consistency of a fiber blend, this collection covers both. Match the look to the project without compromising the feel.
Trade-only, always
Fabritec is exclusively for interior designers, retailers, and workroom partners. We do not sell direct-to-consumer. Your client relationship is yours to own.
Inside the Collection
The finish your clients will notice for years.
The difference between a good woven shade and a great one lives in the details. The hem, the edge, the way it hangs. These are the finishing decisions that separate a Fabritec shade from one that simply covers a window.

Edges sewn and glued
We sew and glue every edge to prevent fraying. It's a step most workrooms skip, and one your clients will never have to think about—because the shade will still look great years from now.
Hem bar sewn on
We sew a pocket and place the hem bar in for the perfect fit. The result is a sleeker, flatter bottom hem that sits properly and holds its position over time.
Each fabric sized to its behavior
These materials move. A sizing approach that works for one won't work for another. We read each fabric individually and size accordingly—so the shade hangs the way it should, not the way a formula says it should.
Multiple finishing techniques
Organic materials have texture and variation by nature. We apply finishing techniques that bring uniformity to how each shade hangs—so the result feels considered, not accidental.
Colored linings matched to fabric
We offer colored linings and match them to each shade unless specified. It's visible from the street, and it's the kind of detail clients who care about the whole picture will remember.
Seams avoided in the lining
Where possible, we keep the lining seamless. A clean back is the mark of a workroom that cares about what the neighbor sees, not just what the client does.

How We Make It
In tune with the material. Every time.
There is no standard process here. Every shade starts with an assessment of the material in front of us, because how we cut, finish, and construct it depends entirely on what the fabric requires.
Each roll assessed before fabrication
Fiber type, weave density, weight, and behavior all determine how we approach the shade. We don't assume. We look at what's in front of us and make decisions accordingly.
Precision cutting, finished to last
Cutting these materials cleanly takes skill. We combine precision cutting with edge sewing and gluing so the shade holds its shape and doesn't deteriorate at the edges over time.
Hem bar sewn
The hem bar is inserted and then sewn—leaving a clean and bespoke look.
Design Versatility
One fabric. Two distinct looks.
Many fabrics in this collection can be fabricated as either a Roman shade or a roller shade. That means you can carry the same material palette through an entire home and let the architecture of each room—not the fabric choice—dictate the style. Soft folds for the living room. A clean roller in the kitchen. The same warmth at every window, expressed differently where it needs to be.
Roman Shade
Soft fold / tailored. The signature expression of this collection. Brings warmth, movement, and organic texture to any window.
Roller Shade
Clean line / contemporary. New in 2026. Available on almost half of our fabric offering—the same material, with a cleaner, more structured profile. Finished to the same standard as our Roman shades.
Specialty Configurations
Built for every project you take on.
Not every window is straightforward, and this collection was built with that in mind. Whether the challenge is architectural or functional, we have a configuration for it.
Arch Top
For curved and arched windows. We fabricate to the shape of the architecture without compromising the material or the finish.
Top Down—Bottom Up
Precise light and privacy control, without sacrificing texture. Your client decides exactly how much of the window is exposed and from which direction.
Duo Shades
A woven shade paired with a privacy roller shade on the same window, fabricated and coordinated in-house. Organic texture by day. Full privacy at night.
Woven Roller Shades
New for 2026. Available on approximately half of our fabric offering. Same collection, cleaner profile. A modern answer to a timeless material.

Warmth and texture, where life happens.

Idea Guide
The language of woven shades, in your hands.
The Fabritec Woven Shade Idea Guide gives you the language, the imagery, and the full range of 5 styles to help your client find exactly what they are looking for.
The Trade Partnership
We remove the friction, so you can specify with confidence.
Specifying this collection takes more than placing an order. It takes knowing the material well enough to guide your clients through it. We make that easier, because we've been doing it longer than most workrooms have been making woven shades.

We help you set the right expectations
No two shades in this collection are exactly alike, and that's part of what makes them special. Color variation, texture shifts, and the way light changes their appearance over time are characteristics of the material—not flaws. We'll help you frame that conversation with your clients so they walk away excited, not surprised.
Fiber blends when consistency matters more
Some clients need a more uniform result. Our fiber blends give them the same organic warmth with more predictable color over time. We'll help you match the right material to the project.

What Our Trade Partners Say
I specified woven shades from Fabritec for a full home project—twelve windows, three different materials. Every shade hung perfectly. The hem finish alone told me this was a different level of workroom.
This collection is unlike anything else at a window. The way light comes through the material—warm, organic, never harsh. My clients respond to it every time. Fabritec fabricates it beautifully.
I specified the same fabric as a Roman shade in the living room and a roller shade in the kids' room. The consistency across both configurations was remarkable. My client was thrilled.
They're not just a window covering—they're an investment in enduring style that brings the outdoors in, beautifully.
The Workroom Behind the Work
One facility. One standard. One point of accountability.

Every Fabritec order moves through a single 32,000 square foot workroom, not a network of subcontractors. Four dedicated departments handle fabrication from start to finish, with fabric experts and a dedicated product development team involved at every stage. We have complete in-house supply and assembly, which means shorter lead times and consistent quality, with a single point of accountability from the cutting table to the finished shade. Trade professionals get a curated, à la carte selection across hardware and materials, so no project is boxed into a fixed system.

Common Questions
Ask us anything.
Who is Fabritec for?
Fabritec is dedicated exclusively to the trade—interior designers, retailers, and workroom partners. We do not sell direct-to-consumer. Your client relationship is always yours.
What materials are available?
The collection includes authentic organic fibers—bamboo, jute, reed, and grasses—as well as fiber blends that replicate the same organic look with greater color consistency over time.
What configurations are available?
Roman shades, roller shades (available on approximately half of our fabric offering), top-down bottom-up, arch top, and duo shades—a woven shade paired with a privacy shade on the same window.
Can the same fabric be made as both a Roman shade and a roller shade?
Many fabrics in the collection are available in both configurations. This lets you carry a consistent material palette across a whole home while adapting the style to each room.
How should I talk to my clients about natural variation?
Set the expectation early and frame it positively—variation is part of what makes each shade distinctive. We recommend ordering all shades for a project at once and always requesting a memo sample first.
